"Every Girls' Dream"...Every Parents' Nightmare

Today I was doing a grocery run at our local Wal-Mart. I remembered that I need a wreath hanger for the wreath I bought in Lancaster this weekend, so I ventured back to the holiday section.

On the way, I ran into this:
Yes, it is a life-sized pony. And better yet, it blinks, neighs, and swishes its tail just like a real pony.

It was set up right in the middle of the store. Parents cannot avoid walking by it if they need anything Christmas related.

There was a small crowd of toddlers gaping at the pony, who was politely neighing at his admirers. The parents looked a little less enthusiastic. The Wal-Mart managers, shrewed as they are, had posted a sign next to the equine which read "Do not get on the pony."

So what's the price to bring this guy home and ride him? $249.99, plus tax.

I'm so glad we have a boy.

A Visit to Lancaster

This weekend, we celebrated "Thanksgiving" with my mother's family. Since everyone has other plans for Thursday, we had a nice meal together on Saturday instead. Present were my Mom, Gepi, Grandma and Grandpa Eberly, my Aunt Terre and Uncle Randy, Aunt Terre's mother, Wanda, Karl, Adam, and myself.

Adam got to meet his Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma Eberly.

He and Grandpa Eberly spent a lot of time together. Adam was glad to finally meet the man from whom he got his middle name.

While they were getting to know each other, everyone else enjoyed a game of "Up the River."

Of course, Adam spent some time with "MomMom."

And I couldn't help but take another picture of Adam and his daddy.
Uncle Randy took a picture of our four generations together. Aunt Terre was standing behind him, trying to get Adam to look at the camera. I can't tell if it worked for this picture or not!
Special bonus picture of the little guy, content in his great-grandfather's arms!

On Sunday, we saw many friends at Calvary Church. Among them were Hannah and Michael. Hannah, who was the matron of honor in our wedding, got to hold Adam. I *finally* got to meet her two children in person. They look so much bigger in real life than in their photos!

Doctor appointment on Monday

I'm really not looking forward to this Monday. Adam will have his "2 month" doctor's appointment (a week late). He will be getting his first vaccinations at this appointment. He'll be getting quite a few shots and I feel bad for him already.

I don't know who will cry more, Adam or his mommy.

Adam meets more family

This post is way overdue. Way back on October 11, my Dad, Lisa, Mrs. LaBold, and the girls came down for a visit. After lots of cuddling with Adam, they took us out to dinner. The next morning they brought over some Krispy Kremes before heading to North Carolina for a trip.

Here are the pictures my dad sent me.
