We rode "It's a Small World" about five times. I think it could have been 1,000 if time had permitted. The best part of the ride was watching Adam enjoying the "kids singing."

Adam got to spend some time with his grandparents last weekend, while Mommy and Daddy were out running some errands.

Grandpa's house is a lot of fun! They have a great door for playing peek-a-boo.
They like to "spoil" him with fun items from the local Disney store.
And Grandpa is happy to be fed cheerios. Well, at least for a while. There are only so many cheerios that one can eat.

The Wharton School PhD class of 2008...well, those who came to the ceremony.

One of the speakers advised the grads to be like LedZepplin: Loud, Confident, and Wrong.

It was a fun reception, complete with sushi, fruit & cheese, and dessert.

Mother's Day

Karl, Adam, and I drove up to Lancaster on Friday night to Celebrate Mother's Day with my mom. It was a short visit (less than 24 hours!) but a fun one. My Aunt Terre and Uncle Randy were also visiting, so we had some nice family time together.

Does Adam want to be a dentist, like his Uncle Randy?

Or maybe it's just the beard that's so fun.

A few weeks ago, my father and his sister came to visit us for the day. We had a great time together!

Easter 2008

We spent Adam's first Easter weekend in Newtown Square, PA, with his Grandpa and Grandma Russo and Aunt Karen. We worshiped at our beloved Tenth Presbyterian in the morning, and spent time together as a family for the afternoon.

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

Grandpa Russo paid a visit this week. While he was here, we took a trip to the National Zoo.

The lions, tigers, and (panda) bears were fun for the adults, but Adam didn't seem to know what he was supposed to be looking at.


However, the aquatic life in the invertebrate house was a hit!
We all enjoyed watching the meercats and lion tamirins dart around the small mammal house.

The highlight of the trip was the butterfly room: Animals with pretty colors and brains too small to be afraid of little hands.
My personal favorite was the flamingos. Noisy, Noisy birds!

When we came home, Grandpa Russo and Adam had even more fun together. Grandpas have an extra-special source of energy, it seems.
