A few pictures

I know, I know, it's been entirely too long since I've updated this blog. We've been all over, on vacation, spending time with family, and just plain busy at home! Here are just a few Adam pictures to satisfy his fans while I get our pictures organized and uploaded.

"No more, paparazzi pics, Ma!"

How else can mommy find the time to get the laundry done?

Taking Mommy and Daddy out to Chick-Fil-A. Chicken nuggets are YUMMY!

The half & half container seemed like a fun toy; it was even cooler when he discovered what was inside--yum-yum!

Pretending to drink out of a can like Mommy and Daddy. (Yes, it's empty. We don't give our baby soda. And if we did, we would certainly give him caffeine free!)

Adam at church

A friend of ours, who sat behind us at church yesterday, brings her camera to church to capture moments like this.

Fun Times

The other day, Adam had a very nice lunch: broccoli and cheddar cheese! He's well into finger foods now. For dessert, I let him have some blueberries. . Then I gave him a teething biscuit to munch on while I finished my food. This was the result. Thank goodness he wasn't in one of his best outfits!

When Karl comes home from work, he plays with Adam while I finish making dinner. Tonight, both of them were a little more tired than usual, so instead of playing, they watched TV together. Doesn't Adam look like a mini-version of his daddy? Except for that red hair. I'm very pleased that he got that from his mommy!

It's Official!

Karl gets "hooded" by his Dissertation Advisor, Robert Inman, on Sunday evening.

Shake and take.

Proud parents!

The Wharton School PhD class of 2008...well, those who came to the ceremony.

One of the speakers advised the grads to be like LedZepplin: Loud, Confident, and Wrong.

It was a fun reception, complete with sushi, fruit & cheese, and dessert.

Karl with his son and the city he studied in his paper.

Karl's parents threw him a party beforehand.

Adam and his Aunt Steph at the party.

Our friends Retna, Gus, and Peter attended.

So did Heidi and Andrew! (and Kristen, too, but I didn't get a pic of her. Oops!)

Mother's Day

Karl, Adam, and I drove up to Lancaster on Friday night to Celebrate Mother's Day with my mom. It was a short visit (less than 24 hours!) but a fun one. My Aunt Terre and Uncle Randy were also visiting, so we had some nice family time together.

Does Adam want to be a dentist, like his Uncle Randy?

Or maybe it's just the beard that's so fun.

Having fun with Great Grandpa and Grandma Eberly

Milestones

Adam's little brain has been working on overtime !

He's become an expert crawler.

He learned to crawl up the step between our den and living room. So proud of himself!

Then he promptly started pulling himself up to standing position and cruising furniture.

This is how we find him after naps:

He's mastered the pincer grasp so he can feed himself fun things like cheerios! And did I mention that he has four teeth now? I can't get a good shot of them because he's very protective of them--but they're there! Crunch, crunch!

One of his favorite toys is the extra oven rack that Mommy keeps between the fridge and a cabinet. He goes to it first thing every morning.

He's taking piano lessons. No, not really.

He likes showing off his diapers:

And he's just a lot of fun! For some reason he thinks it is funny when I cough, so we made a video of it.
